I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)
‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ Acts 17:28

Shevonne Up Close
Born in 1979 to great parents (Doug and Juanita Hemphill) in Pasadena, TX. Raised in Rosenberg, TX where she attended B.F. Terry High School. Shevonne served in many leadership roles from SGA, Marching Band, Speech and Debate, etc.
She went on to Rust College in Holly Springs, MS in the fall of 1998. After many mistakes and failures Shevonne was stuck with no where to look, but up. She had a little talk with Jesus and told Him all about her troubles. Right before the brink of 1999, Shevonne threw up her white flag and surrendered her life to God. This was the start of a challenging, but beautiful relationship. After graduating with a BA in Political Science she took a year off and then returned to school at Clark Atlanta University to complete a Masters in Criminal Justice. While working on her thesis, (How to Motivate the Unmotivated) she found a new love -teaching.
Shevonne is elated that God allows her to use her voice and His Word to touch the hearts of His people that they might know Him. She hopes that when she speaks it causes people to think. “Changing the way people think can change the way they respond. Our response to what God has done for us is to love Him and love others.”
Speaking of LOVE….
Shevonne loves to cook, write, read and be around water. She has great family, friends and a great support system for her to be the woman you see today. She is an educator in Spring Branch ISD. “My job is to inspire as well as educate. My goal is to make it to the top in all that I do.”
