Now Is The Time
When will it be my time to be blessed? Why does it feel like I am just making it? Where is my overflow living? Great questions IF!!!!you want your blessings to stop in this life. See we serve an eternal God, who is not concerned with your time line. Our God does not operate in our defined time. "But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. "(2 Peter 3:8)
It should be comforting to know that God is good. That He wants you. He is not moved by your temporary temper tantrums. He is not repositioned because you “really” want something. God sees the BIG PICTURE! At the end of the day He wants your heart. He wants you to desire Him more than anything. Do you?? Do you desire Him more than anything? Really!!!?
Now, of course, I say all of this to myself first. I am a working progress. You have asked God for things in the past, He gave them to you. You were pretty confident in your relationship with God, because of what He gave you. Yet, this one thing He doesn’t seem to want you to have. Your confidence and your prayer life begin to fade. You think, “He doesn’t hear my prayer anyway”. Your once confident prayer life inclusive of praise and worship turns into a prideful, arrogant rant about all things you want since you can’t have… that. WOW!!! First we need to humble ourselves, pray and seek God’s face and turn from our wicked ways, then He will hear from heaven, and e He will forgive our sin and will heal our land. (2Chronicles 7:14)
Now I didn’t make this statement for you to give up what your visions, dreams, aspirations, and desires. If they are in God’s will you will have them…. in time. I just urge you to check your priorities.
Ask yourself these questions: Why do I want this? Do I want this more than a complete relationship with God? Why do I have to have it now? Do I trust God to give it at the appointed time? Will I wait on Him and still PRAISE HIM?!!!
For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.(Habakkuk 2:3)
Now is the Time to give God you. All of you!!!
