I am NOT tired yet!
Have you ever been tired of giving? You give to the church. You give to your family. You give to your job. It seems as though you always consider others and no one is considering you. You ask yourself or you pray: Why am I like this? You find yourself tired.
You have a few options. You can keep giving and become bitter to the point of no return. Now in this state you will even begin to believe that God doesn’t consider you. DANGER DANGER DANGER!!
So many of us have reached this point. How do you know when you've reached it??
When people ask you to do something for them, a simple “No” would suffice, but you get on the defense instead. Avoiding the possiblity of being taken advantage of.
Another option is the daze option. You are not bitter…YET, but you give without zeal. You might avoid responsibility or relationships just to avoid giving your time, money or talent. You keep YOUR peace here. Blahhhhhh!!! That was a nasty taste when I said that one. Everyone thinks you are busy, no one asks you for your help, and you never volunteer. OOOOOOO…I know that hurt.
The last option, of course is the right option. You stop!!! You consider God above anything else. You ask Him to restore your zeal. You ask Him to heal you from the hurts of being taken advantage of. You ask Him for wisdom so that you honor Him and keep your peace at the same time. You praise Him because of the ability to still approach Him. You praise Him because you HAVE to give. You praise Him for the victory.
Deuteronomy 15:10
Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.
Be grateful sisters and brothers.
