Demonstrated Love

"Your love never fails, never gives up, never runs out on me.." I absolutely love this song by Jesus Culture. I also love Joe's rendition of Adele's "Hello". I also love Olive Garden and their Tiramisu. I love my family. I love my friends. I love my students. I love my church. I am also in love with the fact that one day I will be in love with a man and make him happppppy!! I love 70 degree weather with clear skies. I love room temperature water. I love hearing water on the beach. So if I love all of these very different things, how do we define love?

It is hard to define love in this earthly realm. Yet, when we look at God, who is love, it becomes simplified. While we try to define love, God demonstrates love. Ahhhhhhhh .....is that refreshing or WHAT!!!?

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 NIV

Wow!! It would be so awesome if people would just demonstrate love. There would be no games, no defining or redefining...Just Love.

As a single person I refuse to release my love on just anyone for them to tarnish my gift. Sounds pretty good, huh? THIS is why people are single. We have to show, demonstrate, display, exhibit love daily. Sometime we harbor love because we think people don’t deserve it. WHAT if God did that to us? OOOOOOOoooooo ….Think about it ….Yeah, That’s deep.

Stop keeping love from others as though they have to earn your love. You can be wise and love at the same time. Sometimes we limit our love because of the past hurt, and we take it out on those who really love us now.

Matter fact, just because they hurt you doesn’t mean they didn’t love you. Think it about it this way…God has gifted you with the ability to love. You have an abundance of love. You forgive easily, you smile often, you are accepted by many, but for some reason no ONE knows you. How you keep the REAL you to yourself and how if someone could measure up and PROVE their commitment they would have a good thing. Well, no one is perfect, including you. Some people just don’t have the capacity to love like you do.

Again think about how we treat God. Don’t we disappoint often. We don’t measure up to the love He shows us, but yet and still He continues to love us daily.

If God can make you to love greatly, then He created someone just for you to receive that love. Ask God for wisdom, restoration and peace so you can demonstrate beautiful love. I challenge you to love, not with the world’s standards, but by God’s standards- without limitations.

I am just saying, be open to love. (NOT LUST) Smile, enjoy people, take care of yourself, love God, love yourself, and love others.

Hey!! I love you. Do you love me?
