Beyond Me

When we are children we think the world of our parents. We think they are the definition of hero.

Then one day we go to school. We have a different perspective of adults. We get a little older and have a sleep over with a good friend. We might even start watching a nationally syndicated show about the Huxtables. It is at that point we redefine parenting and automatically begin comparing, judging, and limiting our respect for our parents. They loved you, took care of you, disciplined you, wiped your backside and much more. I know…I know…they made a lot of mistakes. You will be better to your children than they were to you…right?

Well consider this, they did the best with you to the best of their ability. If they were there, they were there. If they were not there, don’t worry ...you are here. You are reading this, which means you have breathe in your body, and enough sence to read. PLEASE appreciate your mother beyond Mother’s Day. I love you Peaches, Mama, Juanita.
