Its More Than a Point by Shevonne
It's More Than a Point
It is good to be apart of ministry when there is minitsry taking place (ie healing, deliverance, miracles) I write this particular blog to remind us that our attitude in ministry affects the ministry.
I was reading in Galatians and Chapter 3 started with 1 You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2 I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by believing what you heard? 3 Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?[a] 4 Have you experienced[b] so much in vain—if it really was in vain?
This spoke a different Word to me this time compared to the many times I have read it before. James reminds us that faith without work is dead. This scripture reminds us to look at where we get our Word, our Gifts, our TITLES, our positions from. We as believers have to be very careful that we don't get caught up in what we are doing for God that we misrepresent why we do it for God. It is so easy to get caught up in emotion because we take doing "God's Work" so serious. Please be reminded that God is love. If and when you ever feel yourself operating out of negativity, malice, or PRIDE please drop on your knees right there and begin to pray for restoration, clarity and forgiveness.
Pratical Application - We minister to the ministry before we minister in action. Think about how the person might feel after you tell them what is on your mind or you think the ministry could improve. Think about how your actions can really help the ministry to grow. PRAY!!!!
We should be bold, but not to the point that we leave the Fruit of the Spirit out. Let me remind you of the characteristics. Galatians 5:22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
The only reason you are saved is because of Jesus. Do not leave Him out of your decisions, actions, praise, prayer, worship, ministry.
I love ya!!!
